Accommodation: 80 beautifully refurbished heritage guest rooms including six 3 bedroom cottages have been created at Q Station within the original first-class and second-class accommodation wings, offering sweeping views across the harbour from their verandas. Each room is decorated in contemporary style, offering modern comforts like flat-screen televisions and wi-fi internet access while preserving the heritage features of the buildings. The Boilerhouse Harbourside Restaurant and Bar: standing beside a secluded sandy cove, Q Station’s Boilerhouse Harbourside Restaurant offers a contemporary selection of dishes inspired by fresh Australian produce and modern European cuisine. Housed in the site’s original boilerhouse, it adjoins the popular Bolierhouse Harbourside Bar. Open to both hotel guests and the visiting public. Quarantine Station Story Tour: a walking tour of Q Station exploring the history of quarantine through the lives and experiences of both internees and staff. A chance to see heritage buildings including the hospital, morgue, showers, autoclaves, post office and wharf precinct. Wharf Wander: a 45-minute tour of the wharf precinct and an insight into the experiences of internees when they first disembarked. An opportunity to view the key historic buildings and rock inscriptions. Ghost Tours - a range of night tours exploring the strange and eerie tales that abound at Q Station. Fun for believers and sceptics alike, with options including a 2½ adult tour, a two-hour family tour, a 2½ Spirit Investigator tour with medium and an overnight Ghostly Sleepover Yoga Retreats: seasonal Q Station also offers a range of activities for guests including on-site massages, swimming and snorkelling at its secluded beach, bike hire, kayaking and standup paddleboarding. It takes approximately 30 minutes to drive from the city. Drive to Manly and turn right off Sydney Road into Belgrave Street and then turn left at Manly Wharf. Take the first left onto Wentworth Street (signposted North Head), take the next right onto Darley Road and go straight over the roundabout continuing on Darley Road. Drive past Manly Hospital and when you reach the roundabout turn right into our parking area to await our regular shuttle service into the site. Day visitors access via shuttle service departs every 30 minutes Wednesday-Friday 10:30am-11:00pm and Weekends 9:30am-11:00pm. Overnight guests please contact reception at Entrance Boomgate. |
