Narrabeen Beach
Narrabeen Beach is located north of Collaroy Beach. Narrabeen is one of Australia's iconic surfing beaches, best known for the world famous North Narrabeen break, breeding ground of some of the world's best surfers, including world champions. The world-famous surfing beach became a National Surfing Reserve in 2009 and played an important part in the history of surfing culture in Sydney. It is also the site of numerous local, national and international events.
From Long Reef to Narrabeen there are four surf lifesaving clubs along the beach providing qualified, volunteer lifesaver patrols to protect swimmers and surf/beach users. Narrabeen ranges from the more hazardous rip-dominated North Narrabeen to the usually lower waves of Collaroy.
