CROWN OF NEWPORT | ATTUNGA | PORTER | KANIMBLA

Crown of Newport
300m Moderate/Steep Climb
A hidden journey under the canopy of remnant rainforest. A wondrous green cathedral with a boulder lined creek, rare plants and spectacular waterfall features. A haven for wildlife and humans alike. The steep climb can go largely unnoticed due to nature's distractions.

Attunga
1000m Strenuous/Steep Climb
A rugged walk with spectacular coastline views. A scrubland adventure, salt laden winds creating living tree-sculptures. Beauty found in the tiniest of flowers contrasting sharply with the vastness of the landscape.

Porter
300m Easy/Flat Walk
An easily accessible walk giving a glimpse of the Newport bushland experience. The Reserve has recently undergone extensive bush regeneration after its early history of cattle grazing. Once a cow paddock and a garbage tip, and more recently scoured for Argentine Ants, now a wonderful example of Mother Nature in combination with the inexhaustible efforts of local bush regeneration volunteers bringing life back to Porter.

Kanimbla
160m Moderate/Steep Climb
An urban reserve, the smallest of the group, suffering the greatest human impact. Can nature survive the human footprint? With dedication, determination and weed bags, the answer is yes. Once dominated by a sea of weeds, the natives are now fighting back for survival.
