On top of that, Mr Baird said there were plans to connect Manly with more destinations by ferry. He also announced in the State Budget a $17 million to construct a new ferry wharf and interchange hub at Barangaroo.

He said the Sydney Ferries fleet replacement program, which $1.5 million was allocated to, would bring in faster, additional vessels to reduce travel times between Manly and Circular Quay. Mr Baird also confirmed there would also be more bus connections to ferry services as demand increased.

The eyesore block of land across the road from Warringah Mall is also being considered to transform into a 200-space car park as part of a commitment for 800 new car spaces for commuters on the northern beaches. With a dedicated rapid transport corridor, people will be coming in from Dee Why, Curly, Freshie and parking their cars then hopping on a bus.”
