Shelly Beach Manly is the highest rated NSW beach!

Shelly was rated fourth overall behind Whitehaven Beach in the Whitsundays, Turquoise Bay in Exmouth, WA, and Broome’s Cable Beach.
Manly was rated the 2nd best NSW beach, coming in at 7th nationally. Palm Beach was close behind at No. 13 across the country and 3rd in the state. Bondi Beach just scraped in to the top 25, coming in at No. 23.
Sofia Palmquist, Lisa Thorn and Anna Croona, Swedish tourists, explained to the Daily Telegraph how they enjoyed the laid back natural outlook.
Ms Palmquist said “I like snorkelling, you can have a barbecue, just hang out.” Tourists describe how "The water is shallow and the water is warmer."
Shelly Beach is a popular tourist attraction, great area for paddle boarders or snorkelling.
An easy beach entry makes for an effortless snorkel. During the winter months, Shelly Beach is home to a school of Dusky Whaler Sharks. They can be seen patrolling the gutter in the middle of the beach.
Head down on the weekend and experience the Manly to Shelly Beach- Cabbage Tree Bay Eco-Sculpture Walk.
This is a short fifteen minute walk which begins at the Manly Surf Club at the south end of Manly Beach. The Cabbage Tree Bay Eco-Sculpture Walk hugs the coastline all the way to Shelly Beach.
Gain an insight into Cabbage Tree Bay’s unique marine life, plants, animals, history and attractions through eleven unique sculptures along the way.
