Come to Manly and enjoy some of jazz's finest performers.
Manly Jazz attracts a mixed crowd from jazz aficionados (that's everything from funk, blues, swing, trad and more) to family groups and those who simply love a festival in the sun by the seaside. With a mix of intimate indoor venues and big outdoor stages along the famous Manly beachfront and Corso, Manly Jazz caters for all.
See event website for more!
Manly Jazz has a rich history of dishing up some of the best live jazz performances from across Australia and around the world. Drawing from a strong underground music scene that also includes funk, blues and swing, Manly Jazz attracts a mixed crowd from ‘hard-core’ jazz aficionados to those who simply love a festival with cool tunes in the sun and by the seaside. With its multiple stages scattered along The Corso and the famous Manly beachfront, Manly Jazz caters for all.
Over the past few years Manly Jazz has, under new direction, expanded and grown as never before. From the traditional three days of outdoor stages over the October long weekend, the festival has more than tripled to become an 11-day celebration of live music in venues across Manly as well as the open air performances on The Corso and Manly’s famous beachfront.
But we’re not satisfied at being just the biggest jazz festival in Sydney - although we tick that box easily! We want to be the best music experience this city has to offer by showcasing heaps of great live music –blues, roots, rock and so much more! Manly has some great bars, restaurants and venues for live music so we are putting them on show.
Expressions of interest to perform at the festival have now closed and the music program for 2015 will be released in June. So stay tuned and start planning your visit to Manly – if the past few years is anything to go by, you will be very pleasantly surprised
How To Get Here..
Public transport is the best way to get to Manly Jazz. Regular ferries from Circular Quay drop you right in the heart of Manly while buses are available right across the north shore and northern beaches.
If you do choose to drive we suggest you park away from Manly’s town centre, particularly over the long weekend. Roads can become heavily congested and parking close to the event can be difficult. You can find information on car parks in Manly at Manly Council's website.
