Bilgola Beach
Bilgola Beach is located to the north of Newport and south of Avalon Beach. Bilgola Beach is 500m long, facing south east and bordered by Bilgola Head, a high headland to the north, and the lower, shaley Newport Head to the south.
The beach is neat and the surf has a single bar, which is usually cut by two shifting beach rips, with permanent rips against the rocks at each end. Make sure to swim between the flags at this beach.
Great cafe close by with comfy outside seating space, hot and cold drinks, magazines, ice creams and great drinks/snacks.
Great place to watch the sunrise and sunset.
