Dee Why Beach
Dee Why Beach is located between Collaroy and Curl Curl on The Northern Beaches.
Dee Why has become a very popular family beach. The southern end of the beach is more developed than Long Reef. There is an enclosed playground, with plenty of tables and seating, making it an ideal spot for families with young children. Dee Why beach is a patrolled surf beach and is a great place for swimming, body surfing and surfing.
At Dee Why, inside the point, there is a kiddies area where the waves are lower and used by learners.
However when the swell exceeds 1.5 m Dee Why Point starts to work, holding up to 4 m.
Across the road from the beach you will find many cafes, popular take away shops, restaurants, and gelato bar. You won't be disappointed with a trip to Dee Why. Grab the family, grab some lunch and make some memories!
Dee Why also pays host to many of Warringah's main events including Australia Day and New Years Eve fireworks.
