Mona Vale Beach
Mona Vale Beach is located to the north of Warriewood Beach. Mona Vale is effectively two separate beaches, commencing at the Tombolo and trends south-southwest for 1.1km to the foot of the 30m high shale cliff that separates it from its southern neighbour Warriewood. The rock platform which splits the beach in two has a 25 metre ocean-fed lap pool and a smaller pool for the children.
The Basin usually has low surging waves, while Mona Vale and Warriewood are both rip-dominated beaches, with permanent rips against the rocks. The best break is during north-east to east swell when a good left forms over the reef at the northern end.
Mona Vale Beach is one of the few remaining beaches with unlimited free parking still available at the south end.
