Dee Why is the heart of the Northern Beaches with its excellent family friendly beach and ocean swimming pool. Only minutes from the world famous Manly Beach, Dee Why has many attractions from stylish beach cafes, a 50 metre pool and toddlers area, picnic areas and over 200 specialist shops. Dee Why is located on the Northern Beaches approx 20km from Sydney's CBD. Dee Why is situated to the north of Curl Curl and South of Long Reef.
Dee Why was named in 1814 by James Meehan. Dee Why and Long Reef Beaches form a continuous 2km long bay on the southern side of Long Reef point.
Dee Why Beach Corso is stylishly designed with a mix of stainless steel street furniture, picnic tables, elegant looking lamp posts and shower units.
The beach is easily accessible with ramps leading down to the beach itself which is welcomed by families with toddlers in prams and strollers.
Dee Why annually plays host to a popular Australia Day event as well as an annual New Years Eve fireworks event.
