A Rosé Festival is Coming to Harbord Diggers

Rosé wine is said to be associated with sun-kissed French terraces, swanky beachside bars and warm, alfresco drinking. The flirty and frivolous sibling of red and white wine is certainly having its moment and we expect that not to change anytime soon.

To celebrate, Rosé lovers of Sydney are invited to make their way to Harbord Diggers on Saturday 12 October for the inaugural Yes Way Rosé Festival.

The Festival will run from 2pm to 6pm in the Harbord Diggers Ocean Terrace and will feature 30 of the best Rosés in town - ready for the tasting.

Festival-goers can also enjoy a selection of fine food and live entertainment throughout the afternoon, making for a perfect day out on the Northern Beaches.

"What better way to celebrate the beginning of warmer months than with the perfect summer wine?" said Harbord Diggers General Manager, Michael Phillips.

It's no secret that young Australian's all love a glass of rosé. It might be something of a cliché, but the pink-hued drink has found a place in most wine collections, pairing perfectly with light snacks and a decadent cheese board.

"With the success of our recent Beer Festival we thought we'd celebrate the approaching summer weather with a Rosé themed event. With so many options of Rosé wine there is often too much room to make the wrong decision and be left with something too sweet or too dry. That's where our tasting event will provide the perfect platform to find the right drop," added Mr Phillips.

"Attendees can spend the afternoon enjoying some of the best locally sourced Rosés on offer and listening to live music. We'll also have a selection of delicious dishes available from our specially curated grazing menu, including cheese plates, mezze plates and poke bowls.

"Whether you're a Rosé enthusiast or just looking to enjoy a fun-filled afternoon on our sun-drenched Ocean Terrace, it's bound to be a great event," he added.

Tickets to the Yes Way Rosé Festival are just $25 per person and entitle patrons to eight tastings throughout the day and a commemorative wine glass to mark the occasion. On site activities for the family include face-painting and a roving balloon artist.
