Australia has a vibrant and multicultural community ó from the oldest continuous culture of our first Australians to the cultures of our newest arrivals from around the world.

Northern Beaches Council Mayor Michael Regan said Harmony Week is a time to celebrate Australia’s rich cultural diversity as one of our greatest strengths.

“This Harmony Week, celebrate diversity on the Northern Beaches at one of the many spectacular events and open days on offer from Sunday 15 to Saturday 28 March.

“Visit unique cultural landmarks, hear traditional stories and explore the hidden treasures of our culturally diverse community.

“You can celebrate indigenous history and insights from many nations at the Aboriginal Heritage Office Museum. See amazing artefacts from across the country, paint a boomerang and sample bush tucker from their special gardens.

“Or visit the cultural and religious centres of many of the people that have made the Northern Beaches home. Enjoy the peaceful grace of the Bahá’í House of Worship or the dazzling frescoes inside the St Sava Church at Ingleside,” Mayor Regan said.

The theme for this year’s Harmony Week is Everyone Belongs, so your welcome is assured at the great range of activities and events celebrating the unique cultural diversity of the Northern Beaches.

There are cultural events, open days, shows, dances, games, celebrations, sausage sizzles and traditional food sharing on offer across the Northern Beaches throughout Harmony Week.

Have a great time exploring the Northern Beaches Harmony Week program and do something different in 2020!
