The ‘Future YOUth Summit'
Young people on the Northern Beaches will get the inside scoop on how to thrive in a rapidly changing world at the ‘Future YOUth Summit’ this June.

Northern Beaches Mayor Michael Regan said the summit for young people aged 14-24 will bring together industry leaders, local start-ups and innovative thinkers.

“Technology is rapidly transforming the world and with it, the nature of the workplace. We want to help young people on the Northern Beaches to think about what this means for them, identify opportunities and get proactive in developing skills that will be in demand.”

“The ‘Future YOUth Summit’ is a great opportunity to think about our growth industries and consider what this could mean for your future career and start-up opportunities locally. The day will focus on developing skills including communication and resilience.” Mayor Regan said.

Sponsored by Northern Beaches Community College, come along to ask questions and listen to advice from a stellar line up of industry leaders and entrepreneurs including:

  • Virginia Mounsey, Smart Cookie Marketing – Growth industries on the Northern Beaches, the big trends and pathways for small business and start-ups. Meet your Future YOU.
  • Stuart White, Microsoft – Technology changes, the future of work and what it means for skills and young people living on the Northern Beaches.
  • Daen Simmat, CEO, Black Lab Design – Lessons learned from a locally based Industrial Design start-up, ranked 45th on Australian Financial Review’s Fast Starters 2017.
  • Kathy Wong, Moeloco – Social Enterprise industry trends, opportunities and personal experience.
  • Layla Metcalfe, Naturopath and Clinical Nutritionist – Health industry trends and future opportunities.
  • Catherine Hollyman, Communications Coach –  delivering a communications workshop to help participants build confidence, pitch ideas, influence and represent themselves.
