Glen Street Theatre returns to full audience capacity
Theatregoers will be able to enjoy stage productions at Glen Street Theatre as they did a year ago with all performances from Monday 26 April returning to full capacity.
Mayor Michael Regan said in March 2020 theatres around the world closed their doors indefinitely.
"One year on, we're delighted to announce that Glen Street Theatre has returned to full audience capacity," Cr Regan said.
"It's only through the commitment to our COVID-safe measures that this has been made possible. I'd like to thank our audiences, artists and staff for their continuous vigilance, patience and support."
All performances from Monday 26 April will be able to seat up to 400 people, with families and close contacts seated together. QR check-in and hand sanitisation requirements remain in place, while airflow and ventilation have been optimised in order to minimise the risk.
"We're able to welcome full audiences again, to share the magic of live theatre with as many people as possible and do what we do best," Mayor Regan said.
"We also understand that some people might want to postpone their theatre experience for now."
Ticket holders who would prefer to refund or exchange their tickets are encouraged to contact Box Office on 9975 1455.
"Being able to see professional shows which tour the country and come right to our doorstep is certainly not something we take for granted.
"It's been a challenging time for so many industries, especially the arts, and with the rollout of Dine and Discover vouchers, I encourage people to get back to Glen Street and support live entertainment."
