Have Your Say in Making Our Towns and Villages Great

Northern Beaches Council is seeking community opinion about what makes our towns and villages unique, vibrant and exciting.

In collaboration with an independent research agency, Place Score, Council is conducting both online and face-to-face surveys over the next month to gather information about what the community cares about most.

Northern Beaches Mayor Michael Regan urged people to complete the survey.

“Northern Beaches Council is committed to creating ideal places where the community wants to live, connect and work.”

“Let us know in this census-type survey what you care about and value in your local centres.  Whether it’s a walk-friendly neighbourhood, cleanliness, interaction with your neighbours or something else, we’d love to hear from you.

“A better understanding of what people care about will guide Northern Beaches Council in planning for the future of local centres in a way that reflects the community’s values and needs.

“Community involvement is fundamental to identifying and articulating what is important, what matters and what needs improvement in our area,” said Mayor Regan.

To get involved, go to the online survey. The survey is also included in Council’s latest newsletter.

Face-to-face surveys have already been undertaken at Avalon. These surveys will also be conducted at Newport, Mona Vale, North Narrabeen, Narrabeen, Collaroy, Dee Why, Freshwater, Brookvale, Manly Vale, Manly, Balgowlah, Seaforth and Forestville over the next few weeks.

Information on the survey and other upcoming community engagement events is available on Council’s ‘Have Your Say’ page.

The survey is open until Sunday 24 June 2018 and the survey results, once known, will be published on Council’s website.
