The award recognizes and celebrates collaboration and partnerships that encourage others to achieve positive change and protect our environment.

The Business Leadership Award is dedicated to businesses leading the way to improve environmental outcomes in their industry. According to Mr Kean, this award recognises outstanding businesses that have integrated sustainable practices in all parts of their organisation from planning and operations to service and product delivery.

“These people have demonstrated a commitment to protecting what we have for our future generations and we want to see more of it,” said Mr Kean.

A record 50 finalists were selected from over 180 nominations representing a diverse range of sectors from across the State and spanning all age groups.

“This year’s awards honour ground-breaking pioneers and emerging leaders, demonstrating outstanding commitment and innovation in sustainability and environmental protection.”

Energy Culture’s CEO Joe Edginton said the recognition reinforces its commitment to leave a better environment for future generations.

“It is the responsibility of all business to make sustainability an everyday occurrence. Winning the Green Globe will help Energy Culture reach more people and encourage more business to adopt sustainable practices” said Mr Edginton.
