Stockland Balgowlah is helping customers find magic moments this festive season with a roster of activities – both virtual and in-person – for the whole family to enjoy.

Lisa Vaughan, Centre Manager at Stockland Balgowlah, said that the centre is proud to be a place where customers and community members feel comfortable to shop, socialise, and find that Christmas magic.

“We’ve worked really hard to still be able to offer many of the same, much-loved holiday experiences that customers have come to expect from their local retail centre – along with some really exciting new ones.

“We’ll have special sensory-friendly and pet photography sessions available, in addition to our usual Santa photos which will be slightly modified to be socially-distant.

“Making its grand debut this year is our Stockland Play augmented reality app which customers can download to access up to six games to be played in-centre, with two available immediately and the remainder released weekly from 19 November.

“We’re thrilled to be able to show the community how much we value their continued support, and help them create some magical moments before the new year.”

Santa photos will be located at main entry and will be available every day from 10am to 5pm right up until Christmas Eve. Customers are required to book their 5-minute spot online in advance.

Mrs Vaughan continued: “We understand that some of our younger customers may have sensory challenges and so have organised for Sensitive Santa photo sessions to be made available, for a more inclusive experience.”

Sensitive Santa photo sessions will be available on Sunday 6 December and offered during a quiet time before the centre opens up to the public. Customers are required to book their spot online in advance.

Customers will also be able to book festive photos for their pets with ‘Paws and Claus’ sessions available on Saturday 5 December, Saturday 12 December and Saturday 19 December.

A special Paw Patrol virtual Christmas show will be available on Sunday 13 December, with a link sent to participants in the morning. Bookings are essential.

The centre’s convenient holiday gift-wrapping station will be available, with all proceeds to benefit Autism Spectrum Australia. It will be located near Berkelouw Books.

The Rotary Tree of Joy is also set up near Smart Dollar until Christmas Eve for customers to donate gifts to those less fortunate this Christmas.

Stockland Balgowlah will be operating under extended trading hours to allow more time for customers to shop in the lead up to Christmas.
