Dr Rip - Science of the Surf

11.30am @ Warriewood SLSC: The talk will run for approximately an hour and a half. If conditions permit the talk will also involve a rip current demonstration using purple dye.

6.30pm @ South Stenye SLSC, Manly: The talk will run for approximately one hour with additional time for questions.

As part of Summerama Festivities, Council will be hosting two ‘Science of the Surf’ talks.

'Science of the Surf’ is a multi-award winning presentation on beach processes delivered by Dr Rob Brander, Australia’s best known surf scientist. Nicknamed “Dr Rip” by the Bondi Lifeguards Dr Brander has been fascinating people with his insight into the way our beaches work for a number of years. This presentation is for everyone who loves and is interested in the beach. This activity is suitable for adults and children 8 years and above.

Bring along the family and lean how to stay safe this summer!
