The journey starts at Reception where you’ll find free parking and friendly staff to provide a map of the site. Enjoy the stunning harbour views as you walk from Reception, downhill to the Wharf Precinct, pausing at key buildings such as the Gravedigger’s Cottage and Hospital to meet some historic characters and learn about their lives in quarantine. A map is available for this self-guided tour at Reception, and characters will be roaming between 10:30am – 12:30pm.

Alternatively, join an interactive Life in Quarantine History Tour to explore some of Q Station’s oldest buildings with a guide and gain exclusive access inside some of our oldest buildings. Kids will love the experience of making their own inscriptions in clay, for a gold coin donation. Visit the Laundry to view the real photos of life and memories in quarantine from 1828 – 1984.

As part of the Manly Arts Festival, Jo Neville from Paper Couture is hosting a creative exhibition in a former staff cottage at Q Station. The Papered House is an immersive installation which invites visitors to ask intriguing questions about the past lives of those who lived and worked here.
