Parks & Playgrounds

Manly and the Northern Beaches are renowned for scenic views and spectacular beaches. Utilise the weekends and the beautiful weather by gathering up the family, packing a picnic basket, strapping the bikes to the car, and heading out for a lovely day along the waters of the Northern Beaches.

Northern Beaches Playgrounds:

North Steyne Beachfront
A large playground for 4-10 year olds,
Location: Corner of Pine St and Manly Beach front, Manly

Lagoon Park
One of Sydney’s best 0-5 year fully fenced playgrounds, The park has a pathway, so children can ride their bikes and scooters
Location: Cameron Avenue, Manly

Clontarf Reserve waterfront
This children’s playground is great for children 0-12. T he park has an undercover, shaded playground and BBQ area. Close by is an enclosed harbour swimming  enclosure with no waves.
Location: Clontarf reserve Sandy Bay Road, Clontarf

Collaroy Beach Playground
Children's shaded playground built for ages 1-8. Great picnic area with BBQs, tables, close by cafes, Showers and toilets.
Location: Pittwater Road, Collaroy

Winnererremy Bay Playground
Large enclosed playground with diverse equipment for older and younger children. The playground recently upgraded to include an adventure trail that includes informative stone carvings. BBQs, tables, and a great scooter/ bike track.
Location: Mona Street, Mona Vale

Little Manly Point
A great day out for families, you can swim at Little Manly Beach, fish, enjoy a BBQ, play a game of cricket and ride around on the scooter/ bike trails.
Location: Stuart Street, Manly

Palm Beach Playgrounds
There are several playgrounds, parks and also green open spaces suitable for simply kicking the ball, flying kites or playing cricket. Close by is a suitable beach for older children for boogie bording and surfing.

Bilarong Reserve Playground
Berry Reserve has an enclosed and shaded playground. There are BBQs and picnic tables, an area for children to scooter/ bike ride and a basketball court.
Location: Pittwater Road, Narrabeen

Dee Why Beach Playground
A very popular family spot. The southern part of the beach features a great enclosed playground. Lots of tables and conveniently located across the road from many take-away shops.
Location: Griffin Road, Dee Why

Northern Beaches Scenic Picnic Areas:

Little Manly Point
You can swim at Little Manly Beach, play on the children’s playground, go fishing off the point, enjoy a BBQ or a picnic, there is lots of grassy areas and footpath for riding scooters, bikes or roller blading.
Location: Opposite Carey Street, Manly

West Esplanade Park
Harbour beach swimming enclosure, great views and picnic facilities. Toilets, benches and picnic tables. Numerous shops, restaurants & takeaway facilities available close by
Location: West Esplanade, Manly

East Esplanade Park
Harbour views and beach access. Norfolk Island Pines, swings and & picnic facilities.
Location: East Esplanade, Manly

Gilbert Park
Large fig trees, gardens aviary birdcage and swings. Shade trees throughout the park. Bench seats and 2 swings.
Location: Belgrave Street, Manly

Shelly Beach
Scenic lookouts, BBQ & picnic facilities, bushland and swimming beach, shade trees, and toilets."Le Kiosk" Restaurant and kiosk complex is at the Western side of the beach. Boat ramp in the North Western corner of the reserve.
Location: Via Bower St or Marine Parade from Bower Lane, Manly

Winnererremy Bay Foreshore Reserve
Very much a family park with a great children's play area. Several BBQs and sheltered picnic tables make it a lovely picnic spot.
Location: Mona Street, Mona Vale

North Harbour Reserve
Lots of large open green spaces for you to relax and a basketball court for those wishing to shoot a few hoops. Great water views
Location: Condamine Street, Balgowlah

Bilarong Reserve
A great spot on Narrabeen Lake, with a close by enclosed playground for young children and a great climbing frame for older children. Ideal spot for fishing.
Location: Wakehurst Parkway, North Narrabeen

Dee Why Beach
One of northern beaches most popular picnic areas. Situated right next to Dee Why Beach, a large grassy area with picnic tables and a promenade.
Location: The Strand, Dee Why

McCarrs Creek Reserve
A very spacious reserve near Ku-ring-gai National Park. A peaceful spot with stunning water views and a great fishing spot.
Location: McCarrs Creek Road, Ku-Ring-Gai Chase
